Students in our community increase awareness and raise funds to support the fight against cancer in Oklahoma during WinWin Week each Fall. The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) awards a state championship trophy to the school in each classification that has the most effective cancer prevention and fundraising programs.
1 in 2 Oklahoma men and 1 in 3 Oklahoma women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Let’s change the odds. Funds raised benefit the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma’s only academic cancer center. Served by a statewide mission, the Stephenson Cancer Center seeks to reduce the burden of cancer for all Oklahomans through research, clinical trials, prevention efforts, and expert patient care.
Over the past five years, over 130 Oklahoma high schools (OSSAA members) participated in WinWin Week, and raised over $750,000 for patient services at the Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City as well as putting a spotlight on cancer issues through hundreds of awareness activities.
